Dr. Julie K. Jones

Dr. Julie Jones is a New Jersey native that recently returned to the area after working in Manhattan for several years. She has been practicing high-level veterinary medicine and surgery at busy, multi-doctor practices since 2007. While working in New York, Dr. Jones underwent training through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and became a certified member of the Battery Park City Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and was appointed Assistant Deputy Chief of Animal Rescue. Dr. Jones also attended the prestigious Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida and became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. She is also trained in basic homeopathy and Chinese Herbal Medicine. In addition, Dr. Jones is a highly proficient at soft tissue surgery and attended the North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC) Institute's Advanced Course in Soft Tissue Surgery in 2014. She will be practicing primarily out of our Journal Square location and hopes to offer both traditional and alternative/holistic therapies including acupuncture and herbal medicine. Dr. Jones loves animals and being a veterinarian! She is extremely passionate about nutrition and hopes to achieve certification in Veterinary Food Therapy through the Chi Institute in the near future. She shares her home with a very active senior Weimaraner named Lily and has a soft spot for the breed. In her "spare" time Dr. Jones loves CrossFit and recently competed in her first competition.
