Dr. Albarracin completed her veterinary degree at Cornell University. Throughout her education, Dr. Albarracin has contributed to medical advancement by working on multiple human and animal biomedical research studies. Dr Albarracin interests include preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and clinical research. Her goal as a veterinarian is to foster strong long-term client/patient relationships and provide the highest quality medical care for her patients.
Growing up in Ecuador with farm animals of all types, Dr. Albarracin learned to love and respect animals at a very early age. She became interested in veterinary medicine after her own dog was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. That’s when she decided to switch career paths from criminal justice to veterinary medicine. Since then, she has worked hard to become a well-rounded veterinarian so that she can provide the best care for her patients and the right support for their owners.
During her time off, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones including Charlie, her family dog, in Long Island, NY. She also enjoys helping shelters and fostering shelter animals.
