Dr. Karen Li

Dr. Karen Li earned both her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. During veterinary school, she developed a strong foundation in primary care, with an emphasis on preventive medicine, wellness, and building long-term relationships with patients and their families. Before joining Veterinaire Pet Care, Dr. Li completed a rotating internship in Brooklyn, where she broadened her clinical experience through training in emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, anesthesia, and critical care.

Dr. Li grew up in New York City and developed a love for animals from a young age. After losing her first dog as a child, she was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine so that she could help other families keep their beloved animals healthy and happy for as long as possible. She is excited to bring that passion to the Jersey City community and be part of the community she now calls home. Her goal as a veterinarian is to strengthen the human-animal bond by providing compassionate, personalized care and working closely with clients to develop wellness and treatment plans that are best for each patient and their family.

Outside of work, Dr. Li enjoys traveling, strength training, and exploring different cuisines. She currently lives in Jersey City with Chopper, her rescued British Shorthair.
